About This Site

I created this website as a final project for the Electronic Publishing and Design class I took the Spring semester of 2012. This class was taught by Christine Moore, who is extremely knowledgable in the field of graphic design and html. I took this course mainly to learn how to effectively use Photoshop and Indesign. While I have been working with Photoshop for a few years now, this was my first time ever designing with Indesign. I learned a lot about the workings of Indesign and how to use the principles of graphic design to enhance my layouts and pictures. This website includes multiple examples of Photoshop and Indesign tutorials that I completed throughout the semester. In addition to learning Photoshop and Indesign, this class also covered the basics of html design. Even though I took a website design class in high school, I still learned a lot of new html and css codes throughout the semester. I coded this website completely from scratch and all the design elements are centralized in one CSS style sheet. I thoroughly enjoyed the class, and even though I found the class easy at times, I still learned a lot of valuable information about the world of graphic design and html.

My Qualifications

By taking this class, I am now proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Indesign. I can also now build an html website completely from scratch.
